Memorial Museum Welcomed its Two Millionth Visitor!

June 18, 2011

The Oklahoma City National Memorial Museum is proud to announce the celebration of its two millionth visitor today. Vickie Cousatte of Miami, OK, arrived with her family Courtney Case, Susan Ott, Leslie Dunning, Emma Beck, Jonas Gregory, Jacob Gregory, Jace Gregory, and Addilyn Still at 1:30p.m. and was surprised to know that she was now a part of the Museum’s history. “We wanted to come show the kids the Memorial and Museum and teach them our history,” said Mrs. Cousatte. “We wanted to teach them since they are learning it in schools and we wanted them to see it firsthand.”

Cousatte received a VIP Behind the Scenes Tour led by Executive Director Kari Watkins and the Memorial Museum Conscience Committee. In addition, she received a special “thank you” package that highlights the best of the state from Oklahoma companies.

“We plan to continue working hard to ensure that when visitors walk through these doors, it is a unique and meaningful experience,” said Kari Watkins, Executive Director of the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum. “This symbolic celebration is to honor not only this individual, but all the visitors that have come before to learn the lessons of hope and renewal.”
