Hearts for Hearing Campers Visit the Memorial and Museum

June 20, 2011
Forty elementary school students from across the state visited the Memorial and Museum today to learn about the bombing and all the people who came to help. The experience is part of their week-long Hearts for Hearing Camp, which has a theme this year of Everyday Heroes. Students learned about the Outdoor Symbolic Memorial through a Discovery Pack talk by a park ranger, then toured parts of the Museum. Firefighters from the Oklahoma City Fire Department shared their stories in a First Person program, and brought rescue dogs to show the students how the dogs assist in rescue and recovery efforts.
