Preserving History...Museum Artifacts Tell a Story

The Memorial’s collections include these government exhibits as well as thousands of pieces of evidence collected in the FBI’s OK BOMB investigation and used in the subsequent trials and convictions of Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols for the Murrah Building bombing. After the trials were completed, these evidentiary materials were transferred by the FBI to the Museum Archives. These government exhibits along with many others are on display in the Museum help tell how good overcame evil and justice was served.

The Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum is the official repository for all artifacts and documents related to the bombing and its aftermath. These exhibits are among thousands of artifacts and documents transferred to the Memorial for preservation and safekeeping. Using these artifacts, documents, photos and personal stories, the Museum tells the remarkable story of what happened, how people responded, what we learned and how justice was served.
