Preserving History...Museum Artifacts Tell a Story

Early in the rescue and recovery effort at the Murrah Building on April 19, a second bomb scare occurred. Rescuers discovered a crate labeled with an explosives symbol. It turned out to be an inert TOW missile, which was being used in a sting operation. The FBI recently transferred this artifact to the Memorial Archives and Special Collections to be preserved and someday displayed in the Museum.
