Memorial Presents, Responding to Children in Crisis Workshops with Dr. Robin Gurwitch

Counselors from Norman participated in an afternoon session, Impact of Loss & Trauma in the Lives of Students, with Dr. Robin Gurwitch. Gurwitch also presented an evening session, Problem Solving & Anger Management Strategies for counselors and educators. More than 75 counselors, psychologists, and educators participated in these workshops hosted by the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum. Dr. Robin Gurwitch, internationally recognized expert on the impact of trauma and disaster on children, discussed the impact of trauma and loss on children and learning, steps to building resilience in children and self-care.
