Preserving History...Museum Artifacts Tell a Story

October 31, 2011

Personal possessions belonging to people working in the Murrah Building and surrounding buildings were collected from the rubble after the bombing. This blue mug belonged to Oklahoma Department of Corrections survivor Fran Ferrari, who worked in the Journal Record Building across the street from the Murrah Building. Along with fragments of other mugs, it is now part of an exhibit in the Museum.

The Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum is the repository for all artifacts and document related to the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building and its aftermath. These artifacts are used to tell the story and to illustrate the impact of violence and terrorism.
