Preserving History...Museum Artifacts Tell a Story

December 05, 2011
The Gallery of Honor is the area of the Museum in which each person who was killed on April 19, 1995, is remembered individually. Family members were asked to provide a photograph and an item(s) from their loved one’s life to be placed in a shadow box.
Ted Allen, an economic development specialist for HUD, was the father of six. The Tennessee Volunteer Christmas ornament in his shadow box is symbolic of his devotion to University of Tennessee football and his involvement in his children’s sports. He coached basketball and soccer teams and cheered with his daughters on their spirit squads.
Visit the Gallery of Honor interactive in the Museum to read more about Ted as well as other stories of those who were killed.
