Key Prosecutor Records Her Story for History

December 08, 2011

As part of our ongoing mission we continue to collect oral histories relating to the April 19, 1995, bombing. Today, prosecutor Beth Wilkinson recounted her involvement in both the McVeigh and Nichols trials. She recounted her closing argument, "Tell him he is no patriot. He is a traitor and he deserves to die," and she remembers staring McVeigh in the eye and watched him show emotion which had been rare for him throughout the trials. This story will become a part if the Justice chapter in the Memorial Museum.
