Fall 2011 Essay Contest Winners Recognized at
Oklahoma Judicial Center

Winners in the Memorial’s fall 2011 Student Essay Contest were recognized at the Oklahoma Judicial Center with Oklahoma Supreme Court Chief Justice Steven Taylor. Following remarks by Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum Executive Director Kari Watkins, Chief Justice Taylor and survivor Amy Petty, Allegiance Credit Union, students were presented with certificates and cash prizes. Winners included Jet Trowbridge, Sequoyah Middle School, Edmond, OK; Yadin Joseph and Pramela Gottipati, Angie DeBo Elementary, Edmond, OK; Morghann Cyr and Rachel Dougherty, Owasso 8th Grade Center, Owasso, OK; Lauren Anderson, Tomlinson Middle School, Lawton, OK; Baylee Jones, Perry High School, Perry, OK; Kelland Smith, Lawton High School, Lawton, OK; Gatlin Squires, Kingfisher High School, Kingfisher, OK; Nichole Stanford, Pawnee High School, Pawnee, OK; and Charles Stevenson, Jr., Justice Alma Wilson Seeworth Academy, Oklahoma City, OK.
Winning essays are placed in the Museum’s Virtual Archives for one year and are also available on the Memorial’s website.
