Memorial Museum Receives Important Artifact

December 20, 2011

Brenda Bell, Manager of The Regency Apartments in Oklahoma City, presented to the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum with an artifact that was important in the bringing justice to victims of the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. On April 19, 1995, this VICON V8600 security camera located in the lobby entrance of The Regency apartments recorded Timothy McVeigh driving the moving truck in the direction of the nearby Murrah Building just five minutes before the bombing. The still images copied from the video tape were then used as the government’s exhibits for the prosecution team in Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols’ federal trials and Nichols' state trial. Visit the Memorial and Museum and see numerous artifacts important to bringing justice to the victims of the bombing.
