Share a Piece of History With a Hope Trunk

March 21, 2012
As the 17th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing approaches, it is an opportune time to teach students about the respect and resolve of a community and nation. It is essential for students to learn not only about this historic event, but also about the impact of violence and terrorism, the senselessness of using violence to effect change and the importance of personal responsibility. The Hope Trunk is a great resource to teach these lessons by allowing students to view and touch artifacts from the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building and the Fence as well as many other resources to help students understand this tragedy.
