Thunder Players Visit Memorial & Museum

Oklahoma City Thunder players Derek Fisher, Lazar Hayward, Nazr Mohammed, and Kendrick Perkins toured the Memorial & Museum today with General Manager and Memorial Trustee Sam Presti, led by Executive Director Kari Watkins and Memorial Trustee Chief Justice Steven Taylor.

The tours are part of the Oklahoma City orientation each player receives from team officials because they believe it is important for each member of the Thunder team to understand the history and the renaissance of our city. "We are honored these players take the time to experience what our city dealt with and how far we have come in our healing process," said Kari Watkins, Executive Director. "Most of these players were very very young at the time of the bombing, so it is critical they understand what our city has overcome and the responsibility and resilience the people of this city have shown the nation. They are now a part of that story."
