New Objects Added to Gallery of Honor

October 04, 2012

The Gallery of Honor pays homage to the lives of the 168 killed on April 19, 1995. Here in the Museum's most beautiful exhibit, the families have chosen personal photographs and artifacts for a shadow box symbolizing the lives of their loved ones. Most of the boxes were filled in 2000, just before the Museum opened and family members continue to bring items about once or twice a year. This week, Archives staff filled three previously empty boxes leaving nine left. Visitor Services Director Joanne Riley tells more about the Gallery of Honor, a part of the Museum that was mandated in the Memorial Mission statement.
