Support the Memorial

The Cheyenne Middle School eighth grade class visited the Memorial and Museum today and presented Education Coordinator Lynne Porter with a check for $1,200. Since 2005 the students have given the proceeds from their Annual Walkathon to the Memorial, making their total gift more than $7,200! Students explored the Museum, experienced a First Person program, and toured the Outdoor Symbolic Memorial as part of their study of the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, and the important Lessons Learned as a result. Teachers prepared students for the visit by using the Hope Trunk, a traveling resource provided by the Memorial.
