2013 International Reflections of Hope Award to Honor Ziauddin and Malala Yousafzai

March 27, 2013

The 2013 Reflections of Hope Award ceremony honoring Malala and Ziauddin Yousafzai will be held at a luncheon on May 13, in the Special Event Center of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Doors will open at 11am with the event starting at 11:30 and lasting until 1pm.

Ziauddin and Malala Yousafzai are being honored for their work in promoting education to young girls in Pakistan. Ziauddin is known for his leadership and still directs an all-girls institution created with the goal to foster a new generation of female leadership where his own daughter Malala went to school. She survived an assassination attempt by the Taliban for her activist role in promoting education to girls.

The Memorial Foundation is grateful for the community volunteers who plan this dinner each year and for the members of the Oklahoma Pakistani Association who have agreed to serve as Advisors for this year’s event. This is a must see sold out event.
