First Person with Linda Cavanaugh and Deputy Fire Chief Cecil Clay

Students in Jill Kelsey’s Crisis Communication class at the University of Central Oklahoma toured the Museum and current special exhibit Reporting Terrorism, and heard media perspectives from Oklahoma City Fire Department Deputy Chief Cecil Clay and Oklahoma’s NewsChannel 4’s Linda Cavanaugh in a First Person program at the Memorial. Cavanaugh and Clay discussed their experiences at the time of the Oklahoma City bombing as well as the roles of both the Public Information Officer and the broadcast journalist, and answered questions from the students.
