Kenya Memorial General Manager Collaborates With Memorial Staff

Esther Amunga, General Manager of the August 7th Memorial in Nairobi, Kenya, spent three days with Memorial staff, family members and survivors, sharing the story of her work and learning about the Memorial and Museum. Amunga observed meetings and programs, toured the Outdoor Symbolic Memorial, the Museum and Archives, as well as exchanged ideas with staff in several areas. She hopes an exchange between staffs at the two Memorials can be arranged.

“I am in awe at all the tremendous effort and worth that the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum has put in to making this a remarkable tribute.

Not only have I had a good learning experience but I am now even more convinced that our Memorial in Nairobi should continue to echo loudly the same message of hope, peace and non-violence,” said Esther Amunga, General Manager, August 7th Memorial Trust.
