State Superintendent Sandy Garrett Welcomes . . .

June 11, 2008
The Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum began its eighth annual Education Summit on Wednesday, June 11, 2008. Over the next two days, participants will study the events of April 19, 1995, and the resulting lessons that can be taken and applied to classroom use across the curriculum.
This free program includes a variety of presentations and hands-on activities designed to provide educators with innovative ways to approach the lessons associated with teaching about the impact of violence. Educators also experienced stories of hope from family members, survivors, rescue workers and others involved with the April 19, 1995, tragedy.
