Keeping Visitors Safe

June 28, 2008
The Oklahoma City National Memorial is not only a beautiful and moving place to visit, but it is also a very safe place to visit.
Throughout the day, trained security officers patrol inside and outside and if you visit the Memorial grounds after 6pm, the staff representatives you see are usually Security Officers. These men and women are here 24 hours a day and dedicated to ensuring your visit to our Memorial is a safe and pleasant one. Aside from the important security aspects of their jobs, they are also trained to provide responses to the numerous questions frequently asked about the site. During a typical day, they will provide driving directions, answer site specific questions, give weather updates, give parking advice, render first aid for a fall, reunite separated visitors, and help with family photos. They continue to be an important part of our Memorial Team and truly represent our Oklahoma Standard.
