First Person - Stories of Hope Features Linda Cavanaugh

July 04, 2008
On April 19, 1995, Linda Cavanaugh was on assignment in Vietnam. She and photojournalist Tony Stizza later produced Tapestry, an Emmy award winning documentary about the Oklahoma City bombing. Today, she shared her experiences as a journalist covering the bombing, the trials and the execution of Timothy McVeigh with Museum visitors in a First Person – Stories of Hope presentation.
Notes Cavanaugh took as a media observer of the execution are part of Reporting Terrorism, the Museum’s current special exhibit.
First Person – Stories of Hope is offered each Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the Museum and for groups by appointment.
