First Person - Stories of Hope, Features Jerry Bohnen and Carrie Hulsey-Greene

On Friday, August 1, 2008, Jerry Bohnen and Carrie Hulsey-Greene share their experiences with Museum visitors.

Jerry Bohnen was KTOK News Director and Carrie Hulsey-Greene a reporter for the Oklahoma City radio station on April 19, 1995. Hulsey-Greene had just circled the block of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building when the bombing occurred and gave her first report from the scene within a minute of the explosion. Bohnen, whose career as a broadcast journalist and writer spans 36 years, is a national award winning investigative reporter and member of the Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame. Hulsey-Greene, Associate Director of Communications for Oklahoma State University, was anchor and News Director at KOSU when the news department won numerous awards, including the Scripps Howard Foundation National Award for Excellence in Electronic Media.

First Person – Stories of Hope is presented each Friday at 1:30 in the Museum through August 29, and by request to groups visiting the Memorial Museum.
