Survivor Tree Featured in October 2008 Southern Living

September 30, 2008
The Survivor Tree, a 90-year-old American Elm tree that survived the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Building in Oklahoma City, stands on the highest point of the Outdoor Symbolic Memorial as a symbol of the hope and resilience of this city and nation in the face of terrorism.
The October 2008 issue of Southern Living magazine highlights the inspiration this tree brings to all people. See page 164 for more information.
Seedlings from the Survivor Tree can be purchased through American Forest's Historic Trees program at www.historictrees.org.
