Schools Use Called2Change to Teach Respect, Resilience and Responsibility

October 15, 2008

All 280 members of the 7th grade class at Cimarron Middle School from Edmond, Oklahoma, visited the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum as part of a district-wide involvement in the Memorial’s middle school curriculum, Called2Change.

As part of their visit, the students also heard the powerful and moving story of survivor and family member Helena Garrett.

Students utilized the Memorial’s Hope Trunk prior to their visit, and will do follow-up curriculum when they return to school as part of the three week program aimed at teaching Respect, Resilience and Responsibility.
