Memorial Fence Inspires Ohio Swim Team to Honor Those Who Were Killed

October 27, 2008
New artifacts are found daily on the Fence at the Oklahoma City National Memorial. These artifacts are left behind by those who come to reflect, and to honor those who were killed. All artifacts are significant to the person who left it there.
The Ohio Zone Swim Team had traveled to Oklahoma City to compete in a swim competition hosted by the Extreme Aquatic Team. Instead of taking home their winning trophies, the team felt compelled to leave the trophies anonymously at the base of the Fence just north of the 9:03 gate. Hanging above the trophies is a t-shirt with Ohio Zone’s logo, covered with signatures of the members of the team.
