Former Oklahoma City Mayor Ron Norick Tours Memorial Museum With Special Guests

November 12, 2008

Former Oklahoma City Mayor Ron Norick tours his guests through the Memorial Museum. His guests were in town to watch Norick be honored tonight as one of the seven 2008 Honorees into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, sponsored by the Oklahoma Heritage Association.

Mayor Norick led the city through its darkest days immediately following the Oklahoma City bombing and guided the rebuilding and renewal of Oklahoma City in the years that followed. Much of that story is told in the Memorial Museum. He commissioned the task force that eventually turned into the Oklahoma City National Memorial Foundation, the 501(c)3 foundation that created, built and today owns and operates the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum. Mayor Norick has been credited with guiding Oklahoma City’s renaissance and we thank him for his vision and support throughout the years.

Norick will be honored tonight with other distinguished Oklahomans including Brad W. Burgess, Robert Henry, Donna Nigh, Carl R. Renfro, Charles C. Stephenson and Jordan J.N. Tang. Our congratulations to each of these wonderful Oklahomans who have contributed greatly to this state!
