Secretary of Agriculture visits Memorial and Museum

November 14, 2008

U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Ed Schafer visited the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum Friday while in Oklahoma City for a conference. Family member Susan Winchester helped guide Schafer through the Memorial and Museum. Winchester's sister, Dr. Peggy Clark, worked for the Deptartment of Agriculture in the Murrah Building and was killed in the April 19, 1995, bombing, along with six of her co-workers.

In addition to touring the Memorial Museum with Memorial Executive Director Kari Watkins, Schafer also learned about the Survivor Tree from Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Urban Forester Mark Bays.
