Oklahoma City Fire Department Rescue Dogs Introduced at Memorial

December 05, 2008

Five new members of the Oklahoma City Fire Department were introduced at a press conference at the Memorial Museum. Huck, Jagger, Gunner, Salsa and Elvis were donated to the fire department by the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation. Wilma Melville worked the Oklahoma City bombing with her dog Murphy, searching for survivors. Melville, who created the foundation, was inspired by her work here to provide search and rescue dogs to communities across the nation.
