Mistletoe Cleared From Survivor Tree

December 11, 2008
Oklahoma State Department of Agriculture, Food and Foresty Urban Forester Mark Bays coordinated efforts with ISA certified arborist Bill Long of Southern Tree Preservation to remove mistletoe from the branches of the Survivor Tree. Although the mistletoe growing in the tree is not harmful to the health of the tree, it is monitored and then removed every two to three years so that it does not pose a future threat for the tree.
