Memorial Museum Water Leak Update

January 17, 2009
Environmental experts Steve Mason and Kristen Torkelson with Cardinal Engineering tested water saturation in several areas of the Memorial Museum today, one day after a major water leak damaged the Museum. Dehumidifiers and fans continue to operate, working to dry out the Museum as quickly as possible,
Torkelson used an infrared camera and protimeter to check the percentage of water in walls, baseboards, cases and other areas of concern for potential water damage. Memorial staff will use the findings as they plan for restoration and reopening of the Museum.
