Eat at 23rd Street Carl’s Jr. Thursday to Support the Memorial

April 08, 2009
As part of its ongoing commitment to Oklahoma City, Carl’s Jr. will donate 20 percent of sales from its NW 23rd St. and Broadway location in Oklahoma City on Thursday, April 9, to the Oklahoma City National Memorial Foundation. The donation is in conjunction with the grand opening of the newly remodeled restaurant and will help kick off festivities leading up to the OKC Marathon to be held on April 26.
"Carl’s Jr. has been a big part of the atmosphere of the Memorial Marathon, and we are thrilled they want to support the Memorial with their grand reopening events," said Kari Watkins, Oklahoma City National Memorial executive director. "The generosity of businesses like Carl’s Jr. is very important to our ability to share the hope and resilience of this community and nation to the hundreds of thousands of visitors who experience the Memorial each year."
The Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum does not receive any annual operating funds from the federal, state or local government. Museum admissions, store sales, the OKC Memorial Marathon, earnings from an endowment and private fundraising allow the Memorial and Museum to be self-sustaining.
