Students Suprised to Find Themselves Part of Museum's History

May 26, 2009

This month, Ringling High School students Jenny-Lu Zachary and Taylor Stubbs toured the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum as part of a field trip with their social studies class. The two girls were surprised to find a photo of themselves on display in the Memorial Museum. In 1998, the two girls had helped raise funds to build the Memorial and Museum through a nationwide "168 Pennies" campaign. Children from across the United States raised 4.5 million pennies ($450,000) in that campaign. Zachary and Stubbs were able to experience what their fundraising helped build!
