Members of Pine Summit Baptist Church Place Bears and Flowers on Chairs

June 23, 2009

Members of Pine Summit Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida, visited the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum while on their summer Middle School Mission Trip to Ada, Oklahoma. The mission students left flowers on each of the adult’s chairs and teddy bears on each of the children’s chairs in the Memorial’s Field of Empty Chairs as a token of respect. While in Oklahoma, the teens will participate in a cultural exchange with teens in the Chickasaw Nation.

Fifteen year old Jamie Pitsenbarger donated each of the bears from his personal collection as his gift to honor the children who died in the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building bombing.
