Tulsa Oklahoma History Class Visits Memorial Twice a Year

July 08, 2009
Instructors David McBride and Jason Culler of Bishop Kelley High School in Tulsa, OK, bring students twice each year to learn about the April 19, 1995, bombing. Culler, who lost his Godmother, Jamie Genzer in the bombing, learns something new each visit to the Memorial Museum. The Oklahoma History class, which was started four years ago, travels throughout the state each day to a new location. The 41 students had the opportunity to tour the Outdoor Symbolic Memorial and learn the story of hope and resilience in the Memorial Museum. The story of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building bombing is included as part of the class curriculum.
