First Person: Stories of Hope Features
Former Governor and First Lady
Frank & Cathy Keating

July 17, 2009
Each Friday this summer, visitors to the Oklahoma City National Memorial Museum will have a unique opportunity to hear from some of the people most affected by the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.
This Week’s Featured Speaker
Former Governor and First Lady, Frank & Cathy Keating
Frank and Cathy Keating were in the first months of their terms as Governor and First Lady of Oklahoma when the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building was bombed on April 19, 1995. Their leadership in coordinating a compassionate and professional response generated national attention and acclaim – providing daily examples of the Oklahoma Standard as people dealt with the aftermath of the bombing.
The Keatings spoke to a packed room which included members of the media, family members, survivors, and Oklahoma City National Memorial Foundation Board members. Both Frank and Cathy serve on the inaugural National Honorary Board of Trustees for the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum.
