Former U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft
Tours Memorial and Museum

July 29, 2009

Former U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft toured the Memorial and Museum while in Oklahoma City on business. Ashcroft was in office when bombing perpetrator Timothy McVeigh was executed, and created, for the first time in the history of this country, a way for family members and survivors to view the execution of McVeigh in Indiana on a secured closed circuit transmission in Oklahoma City.
