Pentagon Memorial Representatives Visit Oklahoma City National Memorial to Research

Danielle Butler, consultant with Butler Unlimited, and C. Andrew Ammerman,Senior Executive Counselor to the Board of Directors for the Pentagon Memorial, visited the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum to research policies and best practices for a planned addition of education and outreach components to the Pentagon Memorial.

In addition to learning about archival collections and procedures, the pair visited with Memorial Executive Director Kari Watkins, Security Director Leon Gillum, Visitor Services Manager Joyce Andrews, Deputy Director Lynne Roller and Education Coordinator Lynne Porter. The Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum has hosted staffs from the 9/11 Foundation in New York, the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville and the Pentagon Memorial, among others, as they look to learn best practices to implement in the building and management of Memorials of all kinds.
