Bring a Piece of History to Your School
with a Hope Trunk
August 19, 2009

Can’t come on a field trip to the Museum or want to engage your students in some pre-visit activities before your Museum visit? Then request a Hope Trunk, shipped directly to your school free of charge. The Hope Trunk: An Offering of Positive Education is a program using the story of the bombing to educate students about the senselessness of violence and the need to find more peaceful means to resolve our differences. The trunk, which a school may use for two weeks, contains artifacts, visual materials, and classroom exercises that may be used as a stand alone unit or incorporated into regular math, geography and reading/literature lessons. More than 10,000 students and educators in 11 states experienced the Hope Trunk last year.
Shipping is provided courtesy of FedEx.
