School Violence Film Chooses Memorial as
Symbol of Survival

September 03, 2009

Two survivors of school shootings met at the Oklahoma City National Memorial to film a segment of a new school violence film in the works on the cause, effect and aftermath of schools shootings and violence.

Crystal Woodman-Miller, a student survivor of the 1999 Columbine High School shooting and Bradley Thompson, a student survivor of the 2002 Monash University, Melbourne, Australia shooting and took direct action to intervene and disrupt the shooting, said the Memorial was chosen because of its symbols of survival and message opposing violence taught through its various educational programs.
