Members of the US Air Force and Oklahoma Air National Guard Take Oath of Enlistment Under Survivor Tree Canopy

Twelve members of the United States Air Force and one member of the Oklahoma Air National Guard re-enlisted and took their oath of enlistment at the Oklahoma City National Memorial. Standing under the Survivor Tree, Tinker Air Force Base Installation Commander Colonel Allen J. Jamerson administered the oath to these young airmen representing ranks from Senior Airman to Chief Master Sergeant.

The Memorial and this date, September 11, were chosen as symbolic reminders of their Oath of Enlistment, which says, in part, "I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic…"
