National Character Education Expert Provides Assistance with Called2Change

October 12, 2009

National character education expert Don Peslis met with Memorial education staff today to share his observations on Called2Change, a Memorial program about the impact of violence and the power to change the world by choosing to do the right thing. Peslis, who recently relocated from Indiana to Oklahoma City to join SandRidge Energy as Director of Community Outreach, founded Anderson University’s Center for Character Development.

Peslis offered his insights on evaluating character education programs and expanding the reach of Called2Change, which is made possible through the generous support of SandRidge Energy. Peslis will work with the Memorial’s Education & Outreach Committee, Education Coordinator Lynne Porter and Director of Education & Research Lynne Roller to strengthen the SandRidge/Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum partnership as we work together to make a difference in our community and our country.
