Visit Memorial and Museum

October 24, 2009
National Guard, Marine and Air Force units from Illinois, in Oklahoma to receive training, visited the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum. These units receive special training in emergency disaster response and search and rescue coordination from Response International Group, an Oklahoma City consulting group that provides training for emergency responders police and armed forces. Response International Group is headed by Mike Shannon, former chief of special operations for the Oklahoma City Fire Department, who played a key role in the response and recovery efforts surrounding the 1995 bombing of the Murrah Building.
