Education Summit Set for June 8 - 9, 2010

Since the Museum opened in February 2001, the Memorial has hosted a summer Education Summit for educators, administrators, counselors and school resource offficers. The Summit provides an opportunity for Memorial staff to share with participants the educational resources available at the Memorial to teach the important lessons of respect, resilience and responsibility. Called2Change, First Person – Stories of Hope, the Student Essay Contest, the Hope Trunk and field trip information, as well as speakers, an Archives tour and lesson plan development are all part of a unique professional development experience. Applications will be available on the Memorial Web site January 12, 2010.
