Programming Overview to Chickasha Rotary Club

November 05, 2009
Education programs at the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum were shared with members of the Chickasha Rotary Club today. At the invitation of Memorial Trustee and family member Susan Winchester, Director of Education & Research Lynne Roller and Education Coordinator Lynne Porter presented an overview of the opportunities and resources available at the Memorial for educators and students to learn the important lessons resulting from the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. Attendees experienced a Hope Trunk and a video about Called2Change, a special Memorial program that teaches students the value of respect, resilience and responsibility in creating a world in which violence has no place.
