Memorial Presents Workshop at
Safe and Healthy Schools Conference

Education Coordinator Lynne Porter participated as both exhibitor and presenter at the 11th Annual Safe and Healthy Schools Conference at the Clarion Meridian Conference Center in Oklahoma City Friday. More than 800 educators, administrators, counselors and school resource officers attended. Porter presented a workshop on Called2Change, the Memorial’s premier violence prevention program. Participants experienced the Hope Trunk, survivor Mary Mowdy shared her First Person story and Porter explained the components of this successful program about respect, resilience and responsibility, and encouraging students to make wise choices.
