The Memorial Built With LEGOS

November 16, 2009

The Oklahoma City National Memorial is featured prominently in the new LEGO display of Oklahoma City. The display includes more than 50 replicas of Oklahoma City buildings and public spaces. Creators used more than two million LEGO bricks in the OK Cityscape project that benefits OKC Educare, an early-childhood education c...enter for disadvantaged children. Numerous donors made this exhibit possible and the Inasmuch Foundation underwrote the public spaces, including the Outdoor Symbolic Memorial.

"The Memorial looks fabulous. The Gates of Time, the Reflecting Pool and each of the 168 chairs are in place and each is lit. They did an amazing job bringing both respect and recognition to this nationally recognized site," said Kari Watkins, Executive Director. "I think this will become a holiday tradition for many Oklahomans as the exhibit grows from year to year."

The exhibit is on display at Penn Square Mall through January 3, 2010. For more information and admission prices, visit www.okcityscape.com.
