MVP Spotlight...Jo Wolf

January 28, 2010
Since 2001, Jo Wolf has brought her dedication and friendly smile to the Memorial Volunteer Program. Starting the week before the attacks on September 11th, Jo has seen the Memorial transformed into an integral community place as citizens brought thousands of teddy bears to be sent to the children of New York City, Washington, D.C., and Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
Wolf has been helpful to the Memorial Archives assisting in a variety of tasks including cataloguing and removing artifacts from the Fence. She is a recipient of the President’s Call to Service Award by giving over 4,000 hours of volunteer service in her lifetime and has also been honored as the 2004 Outstanding MVP and 2009 June Ranney Special Service Award recipient. In addition to these many awards, Wolf annually volunteers over 500 hours to the Memorial.
"As a volunteer I get to share the stories about those who were changed by this tragedy," said Wolf, "and all the positive that has come to be part of our lives as a result of that change."
