March 01, 2010
Leadership in A Time of Crisis: President Clinton and the OKC Bombing opens today at the Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. Created in a partnership with the Clinton Foundation and the National Archives and Records Administration, the exhibit focuses on President Clinton’s ability to lead the country in what was one of its darkest hours and help rebuild a city that was torn apart by terrorism. The exhibit has dozens of artifacts from the bombing and the Memorial Museum.
A charter bus of staff, volunteers and Trustees are heading to Little Rock, Arkansas, for the opening of the exhibit. As part of the opening, a special free program First Person: Stories of Hope, is set for tonight at 6:00 p.m. Guest panelists include Former Governor Frank and First Lady Cathy Keating, Donna Weaver, who lost her husband Mike, a HUD attorney; Richard Williams, a survivor from the General Services Administration; Gary Marrs, retired Oklahoma City Fire Chief and Kari Watkins, Executive Director of the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum. The panel members will share their remarkable stories from April 19, 1995, and reflect on the 15 years of hope and healing since the bombing.
Doors open at the William J. Clinton Presidential Center tonight at 5:30 and the event will be held in the Great Hall.
