FEMA National Incident Management System
Coordinators Visit Memorial

March 04, 2010

National Incident Management System (NIMS) coordinators from FEMA Region VI and guests from FEMA Headquarters toured the Memorial Museum and Outdoor Symbolic Memorial in conjunction with training they are doing in Oklahoma City. Detective Randy Castle and Inspector Mark Easley with the Oklahoma City Police Department Bomb Squad shared their experiences as first responders to the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Murrah Building and answered questions.

"Holding our NIMS Coordinators meeting at the Memorial site allowed us to have a full appreciation of our mission to have multiple agencies work together in a major incident," said Don Grant, Deputy Assistant Administrator, FEMA National Integration Center.
