Share a Piece of History With a Hope Trunk

March 18, 2010
As the 15th Anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing approaches, it is a great time to teach students about the respect and resolve of a community and nation. It is essential for students to learn not only about this historic event, but also about the impact of violence and terrorism, the senselessness of using violence to solve problems and the importance of choosing to do the right thing. The Hope Trunk is a great resource to teach these lessons by allowing students to view and touch artifacts from the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building and the Fence as well as many other resources that help students understand this tragedy.
