History Teachers Invited to Attend 10th Annual Education Summit

April 09, 2010

New legislation and standards provide great opportunities to include the story of the bombing in Oklahoma History, United States History and world history classes. The Education Summit, a two day interactive workshop for educators, includes a variety of speakers, presentations and resources to assist educators in teaching students about the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building and the impact of violence and terrorism. History teachers will find the Summit particularly relevant as they integrate this story into their curriculum.

Comments from 2009 Summit Participants

  • Excellent speakers/presentations. Relevant/intriguing/provocative topics. Practical for transforming into the social studies curriculum
  • The most power workshop I’ve ever attended as far as connecting teaching/learning to the real world!

This program is made possible in part through the generous support of The Kerr Foundation, Inc., and AT&T Oklahoma.
